Backyard Pumpkin Butter
Ingredients:
1 stick (1/2 cup) of unsalted butter, at room temperature
16 teaspoons of Backyard Spice Company Pumpkin Spice
2 tablespoons of canned pumpkin puree (optional
1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract (optional)
Prepare the Ingredients:
Make sure the butter is softened to room temperature, but not melted.
Combine Ingredients:
In a mixing bowl, add the softened butter.
Add Backyard Spice Company Pumpkin Spice
Optional: Add Vanilla Extract and Pumpkin Puree
If you'd like a touch of extra flavor, add the vanilla extract to the mixture. This is optional, but it can enhance the overall taste.
If you want to send the pumpkin flavor home add two tablespoons of canned pumpkin puree
Mix Thoroughly:
Use a hand mixer or a wooden spoon to thoroughly combine all the ingredients. Mix until the pumpkin, spices, and sweeteners are evenly distributed throughout the butter.
Taste and Adjust:
Taste the pumpkin-flavored butter and adjust the spices or sweetness to your liking. You can add more powdered sugar or spices as needed.
Shape and Serve:
You can either serve the pumpkin-flavored butter as a soft spread immediately, or you can shape it into a log using plastic wrap or parchment paper. Roll it into a log shape, wrap it tightly, and refrigerate until firm.
Serve:
Serve your homemade pumpkin-flavored butter on toast, muffins, scones, or any baked goods of your choice.
Storage:
If you have leftover pumpkin-flavored butter, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. You can also freeze it for longer storage.
